Designed By SA Computers Elaine has always been fascinated by art. During her years of study as a teacher, art was one of the subjects that she really enjoyed. She started paining in 1995 and her main interest are people and landscapes.  After she received her teaching qualification in 1989, she studied art with various art teachers, the first being Voges Meyer and then with Rita Wilkes and after that with Norbert Schling.  Her paintings have been sold in all the provinces of our country, and you will also find one of her paintings in the private aeroplane of the head of state of Libia.  In 2008 she won two art competitions, one of them being a National Art Competition.  She currently owns an Art School where children and adults are taught in various different mediums.  The Art  School also has a gallery and the student’s work is often displayed at gallery evenings alongside more accomplished artists. About the Artist My views on art I see art as a God given talent, and I believe that a lot of people has the talent, but has just never explored it or had the opportunity to use their talent.  I think that our purpose on earth is to glorify God and we can certainly glorify Him with our art.  I thank God for the abilities that He gave me and I will always strive to make the most of it.  I chose the name Art Alive because Art truly makes me feel alive.  My mood can always be detected in my paintings.
